Jono's experience as an intern at the Ministry of Education allowed him to further develop his skills as well as making a positive impact.

Hi my name is Jonathan Kumarich and I interned at the Ministry of Education in the educational measurement and assessment team. Data and analytics has always been a passion of mine so I was really excited to get the opportunity to both develop my skills and have a positive real-world impact. The project I worked on throughout my internship involved researching the different factors influencing student achievement throughout schooling. This was great because it gave me the opportunity to use both my qualitative and quantitative skills inside a research project.

It was really amazing to be in an environment where I was surrounded by people that were so passionate about what they did. It was really difficult to not learn something new every day when you're in the workplace. Being involved in the ARG programme has made me realise how much I enjoy being in the data analytics space. It's definitely reassured me that I'm heading down the right career path. I would absolutely recommend the ARG programme to anyone that would be interested in it.
